About Me... | |||
|---|---|---|---|---|
I have been doing genealogy (family history) research for the better part of 20 years. Most of my ancestry comes from Pennsylvania, either the Philadelphia/Bucks County area, or the Wayne/Pike County region. In fact, my husband's father's ancestry, and my father's ancestry are tied very closely. After about 8 years of doing family history research, my husband and I discovered that we had not only one common ancestor, but two! My children find it very interesting to be their own 6th cousins.
I have either worked in or established Family History Centers (The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints) in six different states. In several places, I enjoyed being the Training Director as it gave me the opportunity to learn more about searching out records and therefore advancing my own research.
Some years ago, I decided to take a great aunt's research and find the missing documentation so I could submit a membership application to the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR). That was an exciting undertaking and being a member of DAR has been a rewarding experience ever since. I am currently working on several Supplementals for DAR and hope to one day actually get them submitted!
After becoming unemployed a couple of years ago, I decided to go back to school and get a degree in Web Development and Administration. It has been a wonderful opportunity to be able to put what I have learned into practical applications.
I hope you enjoy this web site and the information it contains. If you have any questions, suggestions, corrections or additions to anything you see here, please feel free to contact me.
